Sullivan's Island is a popular destination known for its beautiful 3-mile-long sandy beach and attracts visitors throughout the year. The island has undergone a revitalization over the past decade, with many of the older beach bungalows being replaced by architecturally designed, custom-built homes. These homes, typically over 3,000 square feet in size, have attracted relocating residents from as close as Mt. Pleasant & downtown Charleston to the northeastern United States. Apart from its stunning beach, Sullivan's Island is also renowned for its excellent restaurants and bars. A few of my favorite establishments include the Obstinate Daughter, Home Team BBQ, Longboard, High Thyme, The Co-Op, Mex One Cantina, and Poe's. Despite being a small island, Sullivan's Island offers a unique educational opportunity with the presence of the only elementary school located directly on a beach in the entire southern region.

Additionally, the historic Fort Moultrie and Sullivan's Island Lighthouse, also known as Charleston Light, are popular landmarks worth visiting. Fort Moultrie, a National Historic Monument, served a crucial role from the Revolutionary War until World War II. It offers stunning views of the beach and the Atlantic Ocean, providing visitors of all ages with an opportunity to learn about its rich history.
